Well, it’s that time of year again. Christmas card time! We were running a little late this year, well I mean my husband Jeremy was. He needed to add the text to our card and was taking his time… or working, and not prioritizing our GD family card. So, I am going to declare that a New Year’s card is the new Christmas card. Wishing friends and family a happy New Year says we had a hard time getting our shit together (as usual), but here ya go..
If you are wondering what I am talking about, here is a link to last year’s holiday card post : http://www.weewarhols.com/2016/12/
So, we continued with the movie theme and played The Royal Tenenbaums , a Wes Anderson classic. We had our friend Joey Gallahan come over and take some photos. He is an amazing photographer that specializes in wedding and portrait photography. What a sport! You can also find him on Instagram
A sweet story about these wigs and brotherly love: My boys were threatening not to wear the wigs, since they were “itchy”. Being the amazing mom that I am, I was promising them ANYTHING, if they just wore the stupid wigs. I hadn’t gone to all this trouble for nothing. They were going to wear the wigs! After the shoot, my oldest came to me and remembered that I had promised ANYTHING, if they wore the wigs. So he showed me a yin and yang symbol friendship necklace that he had found on Amazon that he wanted for his brother and him. Yes, I bought the cheesy necklace and they wear it all the time. So sweet!
Here are some outtakes from our photo shoot, since life with kids is well, life with kids.
It is a wonder we ever got one we liked. Thank the Lord for Joey. Here are a few more then I need to go wrap presents.
Sadly, Madison was still in Colorado when we took the photos, so I couldn’t force her to be a Tenenbaum. Here is a photo of her, to prove she exists. We are all so happy to have her home for Christmas!
Oldie, but goodie:
HAPPY NEW YEAR! -Amber
